What do you do after that first ice breaker, whether a question or a funny comment or whatever, what do you do next?
As I don't want to find myself a girlfriend from a pub/nightclud.

From my experience. I would try to see if this person looks interested in me before I go for "the kill" and ask for her phone number. I recommend looking into her eyes, typically if she looks directly back at you and can hold that intimate moment for "longer" lengths than you probably have a chance with her. Girls will direct their gaze away from you or look at other things while talking to you (whether or not they subconsciously mean to do it) when they ARE NOT interested in you. This is a very big indication to me at least. Instead of asking for a girl's number, I usually play the casual card and try to find something that the girl would interested in doing and then asking for her number if she seems like she may want to do it (with you). If not, she'll find a way to say she doesn't like that particular event and therefore save you the hassle of getting rejected if you ask for her number. This advice is given to you under the assumption that you have more confidence than the typical guy and that you're familiar with initiating conversations with a girl to begin with. (Keep eye contact at all times, but don't overdo it to the point that will make her feel uneasy)

Ok! im a girl, so heres some advice! If you see someone you like, of course your going to blush a little! Dont try to stalk her, just follow her around for a while and see what kind of things she's into! Like what kind of music, band, jewlery,{etc.}. That way, when christmas comes, you'll know exactly what to get her!
Then she'll finally say, "Oh! So your the one that was following me around!"

oo i have a good one that always works. go up to the girl, say something rele good like a compliment and walk away. then the girl will walk over to you knowing your not trying to hit on her. it always works. and act cool.
