Tie them up, then cover them in mud and dirt. I'm only kidding. Seriously, it can be a problem. My wife is a clean freak and is always cleaning cleaning cleaning! Her brother washes his hand about every 5 minutes. There is nothing wrong with being on top of your personal hygiene, but sometimes being over obsessive is due to something that happened in a persons past or just a fear of disease. They should go to an encounter group that deals with this.

don't make fun of them, and don't do things to sabotage their routines, because it will only make them worse. look up obsessive compulsive disorder. Just be patient with them b/c they can't help it. It's their way of controlling their environment

I think its a great thing....unless the cleaning is causing you time and energy relocating things that has been put up or thrown away.....make it your responsibility to keep needed thing in place and away from the over-cleaner.......
