Maybe, and I could be wrong here, but just maybe they're trying to make a point - that even the most religious families have problems too. People are still people. Do you really need a tv show to tell you that lying is wrong? Do you never even think a cuss word? No one is perfect - people lie and swear all the time. Even preachers in the "real world" do it. I wouldn't get so worked up over it. It's only tv. Not like the Sopranos, where there is constant lying, murder, sex, and drugs. 7Th Heaven is a kiddie party compared to that.
Of course, I happen to love the Sopranos, so I guess it's all a matter of what you're willing to watch. Try TBN, if you're looking for shows with "good Christian values."

I can't really vent, since I didn't have a problem. I liked the episode. I only saw the last 30 minutes, and it was pretty good. I liked how Eric was bargaining with God, because EVERYONE does that when confronted with bad news. I was shocked with Annie's vulgarity, but it also shows we all slip up. I was really glad Eric came clean with Annie at the end. I wish he had allowed Lucy to learn of his illness, too. SInce it's the only Christian program we have, I would like to support it as long as it is aired.

He had asked to have his existence. He died and went to Heaven, then his parent angel bargained to get his existence back. He spent it sluggish with Annie's mom, and found out what the youngsters might desire to get their lives so as. He even have been given to verify what proportion human beings he has truthfully helped in his existence. i'm uncertain if he's cured now, or if he resides on borrowed time. i assume it incredibly relies upon on in the event that they're coming back next season. i thought they have been meant to be cancelled final twelve months?

Well, I guess the "lying" and such is why it's still on the air. They yanked the cable on "Touched by an Angel" and probably any other religious show out there. The more human the cast, the better the ratings. But, you're right, they should do more of a message of "this is wrong" if they want to remain true to their roots.

I missed the last half but 7th heaven has always been my fav show I don't think I've missed an episode. It is based on God but it also shows that peeps mess up just like we all do. I mean without Gods grace and HIS mercy we'd all be in deep woods.

7th Heaven has never been a biblically correct "Christian" show. They have called God "she," they have embraced liberal ideals such as compatibility of theology between Christians, Buddhists and Muslims, and of course, lying when it is convenient.
If we we were to base our view of what Christianity is all about on this show, people would wonder whether there is the difference between us and the world. And, according to the show, there wouldn't be one.

TV is a major root to evil... shows that are once good, tend to go bad after awhile, because unfortunately people want fights, sex, unmoral acts, and much much more as entertainment.. I did not see the episode, but I understand where you are coming from... I avoid watching TV... for one its not good for a person to watch too much, and all commertials make me sick, and I also do not have very much time to watch it... Its very sad how the world has become, and the TV is an eye opener to it... :) God bless!

CW does not equal TBN.
It's a television program. On Prime Time. Guess what -- it needs viewership and ratings in order to make money (via advertising).
No one wants to watch a goody-good show that preaches.
Fundie-con families from the bible belt aren't interesting enough to make for good tv.
