I am a secular humanist/ atheist, and I have no problem with birth control. It is necessary in many parts of the world where parents cannot currently care for the masses of children they have. It is not responsible parenting to have more children than you or society can support (meaning: you have to have the money to feed and educate your own children, and society needs to have the resources (food, jobs, etc.) that are needed for them to survive).
It is deluded to think that god wants us all to have fourteen kids, thus creating famines and consuming world resources more quickly than necessary. Shame on those who lack the logic to use responsible family planning.

I'm with birth control, and my religion has no concern on birth control.
why?
it's difficult to keep up with all obligations of today's life and keep on brining children.
And naturally, a mother is supposed to breast-feed for 2 years so will have a birth control for 2 years, plus 9 months pregnancy.. so at least there should be around 3 years without intervention (I mean if it were forbidden by religion)

I don't have a religion. I am fine with birth control. "Be fruitful and multiply" was fine before we overpopulated the earth. That quote was actually mean to inspire people to breed to build up armies. Without GMO's we would not be able to feed everyone on the planet. We need to put a cork in it for a while. Besides, if we did not have birth control, life would be less fun.....if you get what I am saying.

I'm a non-religious quite spiritual person. And I think that birth control is a parent's (especially a mother's) undeniable right. Maybe some contraceptive methods are debatable as abortive. But others, like condoms, cannot possibly be considered so. And it is irrational to see how condoms are not more broadly used.

i have no problems with it ... if people have reason not to take it for religious beliefs , thats fine
if they wish to take it because they do not wish a family or to control how many babies they have , then that is sensible
personally though ... i wanted 3 babies and i had 3 babies , i have not been on birth control since and leave it in the hands of God if i am to have more
but 6 years later i havent ... makes me wonder

1 Corinthians 6:18 says, "Flee from fornication. Every other sin that a man may commit is outside his body, but he that practices fornication is sinning against his own body."
The majority of people who use birth control pills are those who are NOT married. Such people use these pills so that they cannot get pregnant and therefore have UNPROTECTED sex as many times as they please, just as long they take that pill before intercourse.
In my religion as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, we are to abstain from fornication.
In general, there are married people who do take these pills to avoid getting pregnant, but not as common with unmarried persons. If you were married and you and your mate had sex 5x/week, every week over the course of a year (52x5=110 times a year). If the couple wants no kids once so ever and decides to do the pill, that is over 100 pills inserted into the system. I am referring to those B.C. pills. I know there are other methods with birth control.
Then, we have the whole issue of abortion, which should not even be an issue because Deuteronomy 5:17 says, "You must not murder." Plain and simple. That scripture does not say, if it is up to the woman, do what your heart says. God created us and it is really His decision, not ours. Therefore, His decision is that "You must not committ murder."
Unmarried persons are not to have sex. Many may love kids, but still regret that they violated themselves and had sex before they really wanted to. Therefore, it is not where I stand, but where God stands and go from there.
Thanks,

If you do not want to have a child then do not have sex. This is the best form of birth control there is. And just in case someone thinks about it, abortion is NOT birth control, it is murder.

Wow - I am not sure, it's not something that is brought up. I have no stance on birth control except for my personal thoughts.
I had a tubal ligation - permanent.

My wife and I oppose any form of birth control that destroys a living entity. Scientifically that includes any disruption of the life processes of an already fertilized egg.
