I would like to mention a few, Abita Amber and Turbo Dog From Abita brewery excellent micro brews! Nationally Moose Head from Canada and Sam Adams from the USA. As for your standard American beers I would go with Bud Select. They are all about the same but I think Select edges the others out.

The best beer I have ever had, and there have been a great many (LOL), but the very best for flavor, consistency, body, etc, is a wonderful brew called Steinlager, from New Zealand. It comes in a 20oz. bottle. Nothing else comes close to this, and it makes almost all (not Sam Adams!) domestic brews pale in comparison!

Bud Select tastes a million times better than any other domestic beer that I have ever had. With a 12-pack, a bottle of Jagermeister usually hits the spot. Then, on to the local bar scene to do shots with incredibly developed, young, naive women who like tequila!

I have to stand by the Guinness Company. They make a beer called Smithwicks which is an ale with a tad bit of bitter-sweetness to it. The color is rich, yet the flavor is not overbearing.

I don't really like american beer, I stick with either Polish beer like Warka or Lech, or some nice German Heineken. Guinness is great too.
