which is safer for dog - i've had black epoxy crate and dog has eaten paint. want to replace and want to know which is safer - galvanized or chrome coated and why? are either toxic to dog? thanks for the input.

Try not to get a "coated" crate if your dog eats it. Go with a metal crate that is not coated. Just as a suggestion, I would work on training with your dog for separation anxiety. This might save your crates!

chrome is the safest if your dog likes to chew the crate .
