I agree that faith should not be based solely on a book. This is stupid. Faith should be based on actual experiences with the book, with God, and with other "spiritual experiences". Many people, including atheists and Christians think they are so smart and understand. The fact is, is that both science and religion don't have all the answers right now. Both groups put faith into their belief systems and adamantly state that they are correct. But science changes and religion is often misunderstood.
As to your scriptures on Bible mishaps, you have two issues that should be addressed. First, our morals and the morals of yesterday are not the same. Why do we think we understand history from a few lines in a very old book? Why do we judge a society that lived thousands of years ago? We don't know enough about the actual events that led to these stories being recorded in this way. The second issue is that if you were to read many of the versus you quoted in German, they say something different than what is implied here. Translation errors are not a few in the Bible. Thus, rather than base our belief on the Bible as a perfect book, we should seek after God in the Bible, the other stuff isn't as important.

Commentary on Genesis 6:6-7
When sin is so rampent amongst a people that there isn't a chance for a child to have the opportunity to be taught righteous principles, then God does something about it. In this case it was the Flood. In other instances it was war, or pestilence, or other "natural disasters". It doesn't mean that God didn't see it coming or that he made a mistake or that he regreted making us. It means that he regreted the choices they made, and that since the plan of God can not be frustrated, the only thing left to him was to save the righteous and deal with the rest.
Commentary on Exodus 21
Yes, men would sell their daughters to be a slave to pay a debt. However, it was not for life, but for 6 full years. On the 7th the slave was freed (see verses 2-3). Yes, at the time it was excusable to beat a slave, but it was not excusable to take a life - unless it meets with the conditions in verse 13. I'm sure there were several instances where the conditions for verse 20 were met but it was said that verse 21 conditions were met.
As you mentioned, the Lord had just given Moses the 10 Commandments. Now this was what was to be done in specific situations when those commandments were broken. They had already been given an opportunity to live the higher law, one where principles were given and the people "policed" themselves. The could not abide by the higher law, so the Lord gave commandments - but they could not abide by them either (hence, the golden calf), so He (God) had to give them rules to live by. As they had recently been freed from captivity in Egypt, they still had the mentality of an institutionalized prisoner. They needed rules (you can do this, not this), they weren't spiritually strong enough or mentally strong enough (I'm not saying they weren't mentally CAPABLE, just that they weren't used to thinking for themselves) to even have a slightly higher law - the law where God gives commands and man extrapolates what is right in particular situations based on understanding of the commands. And they certainly were not prepared enough to live the higher law of principles, wherein God sets forth principles such as Love, Faith, Obedience and man obeys the principle without having to have specific ways to adhere to them.
Commentary on Matthew 5:17-20
You're right. Christ did NOT come to destroy the Law, but to fullfill it. And with His death it was so fullfilled. The rules therefore do not need to be strictly adhered to but the commands and principles are still valid and we still need to obey them (the commands and principles). Many people do not see that the Law of Moses was a series of rules that was given as a further breakdown of the 10 Commandments, and that the 10 Commandments were given as a further breakdown of Gospel Principles. What the Israelites of the time failed to see was the Messianic symbolizm that these rules had. So while there are many wonderful and needful things that we can find in the Old Testement that we still need to adhere to, because Christ fullfilled the Law of Moses there are passages within the OT that are no longer in effect and can be overlooked. Not that the higher law of Commandments or Principles can be ignored, they are still in effect. It can be difficult to understand, but through further study it can be understood.

God gave the Israelites a set of rules to live by not to enslave them but by keeping these commandments they would have true freedom from the snare of sin.
much later the Pharisees added over 1300 of thier own laws and crippled the people spiritually, this is what made Jesus angry and why He challenged the temple authorities, and they hated Him because of it,and they began plotting His death.
this is the situation that Jesus was to change and many thousands of Jews believed in Him and became His disciples and in doing so came to see thart He really was the Messiah.
of course God saw the disobediance of man coming and dealt with it by the flood, remember we are talking here of the filth that was widely practised and offended God greatly, but we are here today because God also saw the great number of people who would be saved by Christ,as God is not limited by time and space all of creation is an open book before Him.

Concerning Genesis 6:6-7
Your God is the same God who knew the end before the beginning and yet He still went ahead and made us anyway, why? why would God put us, you, me and everyone else through all this only to find that, most will perish as His word says:-
Mat 7:13-14
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (KJV)
Answer: He must have known that it was worth it.
God could have cancelled man in the Garden of Eden, but didn’t. He could have wiped even Noah off the face of the earth, but didn't, we must have been worth persevering with. God has an appointed time for concluding all things of this world and when that day comes, it will be like in the days of Noah, but this time it will be complete.
Mat 24:38-39
For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (KJV)
Part of the problem is that we simply don't understand God beyond His revealed word to us (the Bible). We are a generation in possession of unprecedented knowledge and there have difficulty accepting that there are some things that are perhaps beyond our capacity to understand. Personally I believe that there is more than a good clue encapsulated in the fact that, eternity is infinitely more valuable to us than our short stay here on earth.
After you have finished judging the creator of the entire universe, the God that knew all things before the beginning of creation and yet still went ahead with it. After you have finished nursing your own ego, you will still be left with that choice, your words not mine "....... that God loves us so much that he gave his only son in payment of our sins. And left us the choice to burn in a fire pit of eternal suffering or walk with him".
What part of that are you struggling with exactly? Forget the Lake of Fire for a moment, let me tell you if there was no Hell, just nothing and one were to compare it with "Walking with Jesus" in this life alone, then there is no contest. Now let’s re-introduce the eternity thing, an eternity spent in the presence of the Lord God Almighty. To coin a much used phrase in these here part's ... duh!
You've read the Bible or at least some of it, I'm not judging you my friend, but your judge awaits the day that you will stand before Him, His name is Jesus. Don't allow your ego to stand between you and a personal and loving relationship with your maker, He loves you and doesn't want to loose you, you are precious to Him and as you said and as His word say's:-
Joh 3:16-18
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (KJV)
If I'm wrong about all this stuff, then I'm just wrong (but I'm not wrong) and if I'm right, then you'd better believe it.

- If God always chose to see the future what would be the purpose of living it (so to speak).
God did not make a mistake. He chose to create, then let things play out.
- The Law was a guide line for what existed socially in their culture to insure what they believed to be fair treatment etc. Laws then are just like laws today, just a guide for societies behavior. How many people keep every law.....probably none of us.
MARK 9:11-13
11 And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Eli'jah must first come Mal. 4.5 · Mt. 11.14 ?
12 And he answered and told them, Eli'jah verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought.
13 But I say unto you, That Eli'jah is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him.

Of course he saw it coming. He had already been there once with his angels. Why else would satan be allowed to walk the earth where his beloved creation would be if not to allow for testing of their faith? To this day, satan has a job to do that he answers to God for and blames and accuses us in front of God. Through stans trials and temptations our faith is made stronger and more pure.

Well put.
Man wrote the bible. Man created "gods" Man wants to justify his/her actions "in the name of god" If "man" would just look at himself before doing anything, there might not be a need for a "god"
