No, if it has come about that your employer trusts you with that type of responsibility, then that means you have earned that trust and you should keep to that level of, not only his respect, but your own self respect. On the other hand, if you prefer the living conditions of your other cellmates and their company, by all means, follow your misguided temptations.

NO! Repeat after me, the repercussions of getting caught FAR, FAR outweigh the short term feeling of a "few" dollars in your pocket.
When you are responsible, that means someone higher up in your company is also responsible...When that "few" dollars comes up short, and it will show, then you will be the first suspect.
After you are fired, you will not be hired again. Your reputation as a thief will precede you. Who can you use as a reference for a job? What can you post on a resume? How do you answer the question, "Why did you leave your last job?".
Just don't do it. Ask for a raise instead.

All my jobs dealth with handling money. I was never tempted to take the money because I knew the consequences and didn't want to face them if I did take some money. This is something that will ruin your reputation, and it's hard to find another job if you were to get caught for stealing...If you get caught you will do some time though...YOu don't want to waste your life in jail!!!

Tempted, yes. Giving in to the temptation no, not if I ever wanted to work again. I understand that one can even be thrown into jail, for doing such and jail isn't a nice place.

Temptation always exists. But it's altimately your choice. Just ask yourself if it's worth it. Personally, I don't think "a few dollars" is worth it. While it might not make much of a difference to the rightful owners of that money, it would make a HUGE difference to you. And not in a positive way.

I know a guy that would steal money at a school cafeteria, and there was this register he worked on, and it wasn't hi-tech or anything like that.
He felt he worked hard, and needed the extra money.
Did they ever find out? No. Some people don't get caught.
Would I do it? No. Because conscience is important.

Yes, when I was younger, had no money and was working minimum wage. Not when I was older.
But basically it's not worth the risk of losing your job. And then having that reputation follow you when you try to find another job.

I have worked as a loan officer's secretary in a bank before. I can tell you the temptation is there, but we watch over it strickly. Any embesslement is quickly found and resolved. There is no theft that cannot be caught no matter how good you think that you are.

Nope. I had a job like that, and it was just petty cash, no one would even know if I took it because I kept track of it. But I would never even think of it.
Actually, I wouldn't even cheat on a test. I like to think there are more people out there with morals.

Everyone is tempted, but having free will, there's no reason that one has to give in to temptation. We all have to live with ourselves, so might as well live with someone we like.
