No that is Slander and Defemation of character. That could be a big lawsuit. And if he has only been charged and not convicted than he is still considered innocent. The school has been notified because of it and they obviously don't see it as a threat. Why would you want to ruin a kids life?

And for your add-note. If he isn't registered as one if he has been good Then it is DEFINETLY Slander and Defemation of Character and you would have a BIG problem on YOUR hands.

If he has been convicted and is on two years probation then he should have a record and a copy of that record should be available at the courthouse UNLESS his record was sealed because of his age. If I were you I would not say anything unless you can get a copy of the court record. This is only MY personal opinion, you can do what ever you want

So not just to anyone and everyone because you don't what to gossip just incase but if you tell athourities they can investigate and get all the facts! Good luck!

You are dealing with a minor, be careful. He has been charged.....has he been convicted of any crime? If you go spreading tales, you will have his parents to deal with.

there's a difference between being charged with a crime and being convicted of a crime. it's call presumption of innocence. just because this person has been charged with something doesn't mean he/she is guilty. one day you might even enjoy this right guaranteed by our constitution, if we still have one.

Wait to see if he is convicted. If he is convicted, then the rules change. He or his parents won't be able to sue you for slander if he's convicted.

yes, of course you can tell! In fact, you should! People need to know about this. But first you should check with the law system in your town. they may want to post a public notice. those sorts of things have been posted around my town, its good for ppl to know.
