I think everyone feels like that every once in a while. Play on the computer, find yourself a good book or another hobby you enjoy. There are plenty of things to help you not feel lonely when those moments come.

When I get feeling sorry for myself I try looking around and seeing what I have that is good. Then looking at people in third world countries that have nothing. It makes these trivial little things, that we sometimes believe could end the world, more easy to comprehend.

Someone once said, "New York is bunch of people being alone together"
Most people are lonely no matter who they have around them.
The key to being happy is doing what makes you happy. I love being alone. I like watching DVD's of my favorite TV shows, reading, going shopping, not having to answer to anyone or have any one expecting me to be one place or another. Find things to do that make you happy and when someone comes along you'll be a better person for it.
Sure being alone sucks when you have to go to weddings and stuff but mostly just getting some "me" time is fantastic!

Usually I'll do something to try to take my mind off it (talk to family or friends, get out of the house, read a book, watch a movie, etc). Other times I'll write my thoughts in a journal. When it feels bad, I just keep telling myself that the feeling/s will pass.

What you do is get your best few girlfriends around, Hire really bad romcoms (romantic comdeys) sit about in your living room in your pjs with loads of chocolate and ice cream and have a girly session. As insane and highschool as that sounds its a great way to lift your spirits
