Alvis is the deity/messiah worshipped by a fictional religion on the Adult Swim show Sealab 2021. Of course, you might mean ELVIS, which is pronounced the same way by some Americans. This is an acronym for

His followers believe that he did not die, Alvis just left the building. And he will return someday. This is called, not the Second Coming, but the Comeback Special.
God is love. But Alvis... Alvis is a hunka-hunka-burnin'-love.

AlvÃss ("All-Wise") was a dwarf in Norse mythology.
Thor's daughter, Ãrúðr, was promised to AlvÃss but Thor devised a plan to stop AlvÃss from marrying his daughter. He told AlvÃss that, because of his small height, he had to prove his wisdom. AlvÃss agreed and Thor made the tests last until after the sun had risen--all dwarves turned to stone when exposed to sunlight, so AlvÃss was petrified and Ãrúðr remained unmarried.

He was the holiest man to ever slap iron. He turned egg-nogg into bourbon. His virtues are drinking and revenge. Seriously though, it's from an episode of Sealab 2121.
