Yeah, a little. Even though I know my eternal destiny is secure through Christ Jesus my Lord, I would not want my son to be without a mommy. Also, kind of like a 'fear of the unknown' thing. But, not at all because I fear Hell or anything like that. I know I'm going to Heaven.

Death is a phase of life. Everybody dies. The only thing i would be afraid of is that i didnt accomplish everything that i wanted to before i die and be worried about my family. If you have a terminal illness, that may be scary because you know you are dying, where as someone healthy could get hit by a car and die.
I think people should embrace death, but it's easier said than done when you are healthy.

No- I look forward to meeting my Savior face to face someday! Not that I want to die- but just that when I do, I know I will be with the Lord Jesus. And that is a VERY comforting thought- knowing Him has been the best thing on this earth. If I did not have Jesus Christ in my life- I would be so lost. And I think I would be afraid of death if I didnt' have Him.

Sometimes yes, because I'm afraid that life will have been pointless. But mostly no, because I realize that life is the point. What we do in this moment is what matters and the stuff like death that I can't control I allow myself the luxury of going with the flow and accepting it.
Strangely, I find that as I get older, I feel less scared about it as I did when I was younger.

I was until I watched my Grandmother pass away this past August, it was very peaceful (she fought breast cancer for 3 years). I do still fear the unknow a bit, that and the fact that I know I would miss my family and friends.
What really sucks is that it's inevitable and what ever fears we do have, we should learn to get over quickly... life is way too short to worry about death.
Are you afraid of dying?

I'm not afraid to die. I know I'm going to heaven, because Jesus is my Lord. Though I would like some more time with the mortal in order to straighten some things out so God can tell me I did well.
But am I afraid to die? No.

No - I will be in good company.. Socrates, MLK, Mother Theresa, Joan of Arc lol the list is endless..
It is just another biological process.. if there is something at the other side bonus and if not I won't be aware of it so no fear there either.
Like everyone I guess I do not embrace the fact that it might be painful so the fear would be of the pain not death..
Since we are aware of our mortality unlike animals for example and conversely are also programmed to want to survive, death is a curious phenomenon that each of us has to personally resolve.. for me I just see my own life as insignificant in the great scheme of things and so a love of history, psychology, sociology etc keeps me focused on the much bigger (more satisfying?) picture..so much so that my own dying is again almost irrelevant.. (LOL - except ofcourse to my loved ones..)
