Flowers are bright mainly to make them attractive to the insects that pollinate them

For pollination purposes and also so we'll grow them in our gardens and greenhouses and thereby increase their chance of survival and reproduction.

Plus, it makes them pretty. Ars gratia ars--art for art's sake. Works for the movie company with the lion, works for flowers.

i think they are so bright to make people happy. people are always given flowers when they are sick and for other occasions. the more color and the brighter makes them happy.
