A scientific theory has graduated from a hypothesis (an educated guess) because scientific evidence has been found to support it.
Aspects of evolution are certainly fact. We have seen bacteria evolve in response to anti-septics. The theory largely revolves around our development from single celled organisms into complex human beings. This theory was developed due to observations in nature, such as Darwin's observations of the specialized animals on the Galapagos Islands.

First, a theory in science is something that is considered a fact. A hypothesis might or might not be true. The theory of gravity is of the same weight as the theory of evolution. The problem is that the general public uses the word theory they way a scientist uses the word hypothesis and vice versa.
Second, in purely technical terms, it is impossible to prove anything except mathematics, which is not a science. Proof requires tautology and tautology is always true (or always false if phrased correctly). As such all religions are always true. Science is driven by empiricism which can only falsify things.
Evolution has no data to falsify it and literally billions of pieces of data to confirm it including actual observance of new species spontaneously forming.
Evolution as a scientific theory holds the same weight and strength of support as does gravity or any of the primary forces in the world.

There is no proof but there is a plethora of evidence. The same cannot be said for any given religion. The bible is not a reference book and not factual. Evidence for evolution is everywhere, open your eyes and your mind. Evolution is a scientific theory based on empirical evidence thus it is logicial that it be taught in schools eveywhere. Religion is based on faith, ie, the desire to believe in soemthing because it makes you feel better or superior to non-believers, but it is not based on any evidence except for a book, the bible, which has been altered and edited countless times, often changed intentionally by religious institutions. It is so different and adulterated from the original doucuments it was based on it may as well be oral history, thats about how reliable it is. Don't believe me? Well thats probably because you don't want to. Get over that and look into the Council of Trent and the council of Nicaea and you will see the proverbial light and hopefully you will come out of your GOD bubble and be free.

In answering the question you have of why evolution is taught as a fact and not as a theory I think that there are numurous things to think about concerning that and i won't say that simply questioning the theory entails it's identifyability as a sample of it.

Because it's the only way that life could have started on the planet. All primitive people had strange and weird explainations, but none made any sense at all.
You're right there is no proof of evolution, but it's possible and probable while all the other wild stories are simply superstitions.

I sympathize with your frustration. I had to sit through a lecture on the supposed "germ theory of disease" recently. They didn't even mention the fact that demons are responsible for all the sickness in the world. Stupid scientists!

Even worse they have begun to teach the theories of gravity, atoms, and cells as fact. I can't believe it. What is the world coming to. I mean there is no proof for any of that.

It is both. The theory only deals with the mechanisms involved such as natural selection but the fact of evolution is as established insofaras anything in the world of science ever can be.

Of cors just like the religious way of thinking and the evolutionary, they are both just theorys. NONE knows for sure, exept some religions may claim that what they believe is certain.
