I've often wondered why the God-haters have a compulsion to live in this category. I know some are kids thinking they are being amusing and daring, but some are adults and they just come to insult, slash, and hurt. Those I don't understand at all, unless they are under conviction and think they can fight God on this site. Maybe you are on to something, "closet Christians", that's cool.

Why would someone who does believe in God want to answer questions on Religion and spirituality?
Are the so-called Christians really closet Athiests?

Seeing that this area is called 'Religion and Sprituality' and not 'Only for those snobs that believe in the Christian God', those of us who are atheist have every right to be here and answer questions. What, can we not be spiritual?
And what about all those others who believe in gods other than the Judeo-Christian one? Are they not allowed here either?
Also, it's a good thing to call out the rediculous claims made by the fundie xians and to keep you people in check.
And, sorry to disappoint you but.. no, we aren't closet christians.. I'd rather be a satan worshipper than a christian.

Why would some ****** christian put a question up just to provoke some so-called atheist?
I don't understand how so many people lump themselves together under this label of "Christians" when no two has the same idea of God anyway. Hmm... I think you were a closet loser until asking this question- can I come to the "coming out" party?

This should be a question answered in the FAQs. It seems to get asked so frequently. The short answer is: If it were a Christian only board I wouldn't be here. It's not. It's about Religion and Spirituality. Nowhere does it say that means you MUST be Christian. There are plenty other ways of defining spirituality.

I very much doubt that atheists are closet Christians.
But can we look for a moment at the assumptions built into your question?
Why not say "Are the so-called atheists really closet relgionists?"
It would still be a silly question, imo, but perhaps less revealing; did you WANT everyone here to get the impression that you think the only alternative to atheism is Christianity?

Can you point out to me where it says "christian only" then, only i cant seem to find it anywhere. It just says Religion and Spirituality. Do you mean that nobody can come in this category other than christian then? What about people of other religions? I thought it was for anybody to use. Have to check that out with Yahoo.
Please remember that christians don't rule the world, how ever much you would like to.

They are just former weak Christians who are bitter at God and they put all their focus on people instead of God so they bash, mock and insult other who have a relationship that they never sought after. To hang in a section where they say that "people believe in myths or fairy tales" seems pathetic and hypocritical to me. Why do want to discuss what they say are fairy tales and myths? Now who is really delusional and mentally sick? My guess? Unbelievers and such.

So let me get this staight:
I shouldn't answer in the "Royalty" section unless I'm a Duke?
Or in the health section unless I have cancer? Or in the "Myth" section unless I'm related to Zeus?
Now.. let's take a look at the heading. Does it say "Let Us Cheer My Religion and Sprituality?" No.
In other words. This happens to be a question and answer forum ON the subject of religion and spirituality - not a religious chat room.

Because neither religion nor spirituality equal Chrisitianity. Atheists are very spiritual people, and it shows incredible arrogance to assume that an open forum is ruled by Christians.
Closet Christians? You mean like Pastor Ted Haggard? How does that phrase about glass houses go again? "Sanctity of marriage" my foot!
Many atheists WERE closeted Christians, but then a door opened and they found out that there was so much more out there than what they were told. They are now open to an endless amount of choices and possibilities that never existed within those tiny Christian walls.
