I refer to the kind that is forbidden here - not the kind that prompts servicemen (or once did!) to swear-off all canned meat for life...(Then I got OVER that prohibition.)

No, it means something you consider Spam. I don['t like information about mortgage, dating, etc. A lot of spam is sent to gather information about yourself and should not be opened. It is spammed to protect your computer against spying and phishing. For better information, you might try placing this under computers instead of beer, wine, and spirits.

Since you dno't mean the Hormel product, then I guess you mean unwated ads that come through cyber space. It is against the rules here though.
