Many religious people on this site make the statement that morals all derive from religion and that without religion and morals, we would all devolve into axe weilding mad men killing each other.

America is a First World continent. Europe is also a First World continent. The main difference between Europe and America is that America is still very religious, while Europe is mostly secular now.

Interestingly, in the country where religion still rules, we have the highest murder rate per capita, highest rape rate per capita and the largest prisoner population for violent criminals. For all our Godliness, we tend to commit more crime and murder, and rape more people than "Heathen" Europeans with no God or religion.

Can anyone religious people explain why this is so?? Im not interested in the response that man chooses evil....why dont the godless Europeans choose evil as well?

Im not claiming any religion is violent. Im asking why godless Europeans are more peaceful than Godly Americans.
And last time I checked, our laws come from man, made through legislation....not from God.

So, if I understand GC correctly, Satan already has possession of Europe, and this is why they are at peace? So, God then is really the evil one who creates war then? That stance makes absolutely no sense....

Congrats to St Mike for judging me against his savior's commandments. YOU, my friend, are a perfect example of what I speak of. I should be more concerned with my salvation than I should be with the fact that my Christian neighbors are hypocritical like yourself and tend to be more violent than an Atheist neighbor??

You should spend more time worrying about your salvation than trying to make heads or tales of what is going around in the world, can you change anything? All you do is whine maybe you should live in Napa where all the winers live.

Hi, I think you have made a good point, firstly I would like to point out that people in a lot of European countries and especially England are into neo-paganism, which is the direct result of modernism.
Catholic and Protestant are neglecting their respective places of worship in larger numbers since the sixties, and the faithful are getting smaller in numbers.
I think personally that America is starting to experience this phenomena now as well, but it also seems that it is under attack more than Europe from godless secret societies.
the aim seems to be the overthrow of decent Christian society and communising of entire countries by constantly undermining those decent values that made America wholesome.

Prison statistics have proven again and again that, while many U. S. prison inmates profess to be "Christian," they refuse to attend worship services, read the Bible or even act as a true Christian should (if they did, they probably wouldn't be in prison!). This clearly shows they're not true Christians.

So it's disingenuous for anyone to draw an association between Christianity and the Nation's crime rate.

I can't speak for, or about, the "Godless" Europeans.

Interesting observations :-) I am one who studies all thoughts so I am not with any one religion. However; I had it pointed out to me that those connected with religions are basically students learning on a level they understand, therefore they need a priest or minister to tell them what's wrong or right. This would explain why they are often the ones connected with the different crimes.

Look at the state of their laws. Where do their laws come from? where do your laws come from? Are their courts more lienient? Is the conviction and incarceration rate percentage within the same perameters of your country? What religions are you claiming are violent? You need to do some studying. We Could go on forever. Look forward to your synopsis

The devil has more work to do here and it is showing. In a secular society the devil already has you
