As far as names, is there any book or movie you like that you may want to use a name from? That's what I have done. Hmm..
Keep in mind that you don't need to name them RIGHT away. Check out his personality. And most of all, name him something that you don't mind yelling in public!

One of the fun things about getting a new pet is naming them. I personally like to wait a few days/weeks to see what kind of personality the pet has. Sometimes the perfect name for them will come up. If your uncomfortable with having a nameless pet for a few days, my fiance and I did name our two girl cats after goddesses. Shiva (goddess of destruction) and Kythira (goddes of love). Good luck!

The only advice I can give you on naming your new pet is to go looking through a baby name book or web site, writing down the names that stick to you. Then after you have your pet in hand go through your list and find the one(s) that suit him/her the best.

I do not think you can just name him or her until you see his or her eyes look at them really close and see what happens. I am getting a new jack Russell to go with my 6mo old one his name is Riley and the little girl I'm getting is gonna be either Claire or sis since she is gonna be Riley's sister for real. same mom and dad just diff. litter, but for your little girl or boy i would make sure you see into his or her little soul. it Will come to you, I like real names and i went to see mine and name her before i get her at thanksgiving. Just some suggestions give it a classy name like classie, or Bo Jangles Just see what you see when you look

I like names for dogs like Steve, Ted, Bob, Nicholas, Fred, etc. They create a source for conversation.
