In Ohio it's called statutory rape. An adult should never have a sexual relationship with a minor regardless of how mature you think the minor is!Wow, I'm trying to figure out why an 18yr old man would even want to hang out with a 14yr old girl, let alone sleep with her! Your lucky she's not my daughter. I'd prosecute to the fullest extent of the law.

It really depends on where you live and how relaxed they are I was told one time that no one would do any thing inless the fourteen year olds parents said something about it. Than again there was a place on the news that a girl got pregnant and she was a minor like 15 and the guy was 18 or 20 and they got married and the cops put him in jail even though they were married and the parents on both sides were fighting to keep him out so its really up to where u live.

A 18 year old having sex with a 14 year old is not statutory rape, it is child molesting. I have 2 cops on my moms side and my sons dad went to jail for child molesting, he was 19 and the girl was 15.
Any person who is 18 or older and has sex with a 16 or 17 year old is statutory rape and anyone 18 years or older who has sex with anyone under 16 is child molesting.
It does not matter weather the parents of the girl reported it or not or if they want to charge him, if it gets to the police they will arrest and charge him.

The boy should get his butt kicked for getting her pregnant and then have his butt thrown in jail. But why would a 14 year old girl want to get pregnant? And ruin any chance of having a normal teen life? Of finishing high school? Of going to prom? Of being able to afford a car before you are 30? Of going to college? I don't know why any girl that young would want to have a baby in this day and age, beyond the social factors against "statutory rape" and "molestation."

Possibly could go to jail. Depends on where you live (what state etc. ) Was it rape or consensual? If there was even a possibility that it is true , I'd talk to a lawyer to make sure what could /could not happen.
Just remember some girls do lie about their age. She could have told him she was older then she was. And a lot of girls do look older then they are. There is always two sides to every story. I am just sorry for both of them. They have their whole lives ahead of them and in this day and age they should have used protection of some kind.

Well, if the parents chose to do so, he'll be charged with statutory rape and he may serve some jail time. If this happens, he'll have to register as a sex predator. He should have found a girl is own age to fool around with, instead of a 14 year old. shame shame shame

Well if the parents of the 14 yr old girl wanted to they could prosecute the boy for statutory rape.

It all depends on where you live. It probably will end up as a statioatory rape, even if the 14 yr old girl aggreed to have sex with the boy. Every sitution is very different.
