take a comb in the shower with you, and comb it while the conditioner is in it. also, comb it before you go in the shower, that should help a bit.

I have super thick and curly hair, but haven't had any tangles for around a year. Why? I use tons of conditioner.
It should work if you use conditioner. Make sure that you don't rinse it completely out. What I mean is, wash out most of the conditioner, but leave your hair feeling soft in the shower.
Then, when you brush it out when it's wet, there should be no tangles.
Try using Dove conditioner. It's what I use.
Good luck!

ditto on snapalope. Use a comb in the shower, and comb it out while the conditioner is in your hair. This also helps prevent a lot of shedding too. Try also a detangler instead of a conditioner, or a spray-in conditioner after you get out of the shower.

Do the shampoo rinse out then put conditioner on.Leave it on for about four minutes. When you are finished if you have a wide toothed comb gently comb through. Then blow dry aiming the hot air downwards.Best of luck.

before you get into the shower, brush your hair, get out the knots. when shampooing, just massage your scalp, DO NOT PULL SHAMPOO THROUGH MIDSHAFT AND ENDS. when you are rinsing out your hair, just let the shampoo run through those ends... when you condition, only condition your midshaft and ends and not so much your scalp. when you are conditioning, make sure to not scrunch, and just use your fingers as a 'comb' to try and comb out the knots. rinse, when your fingers do not get tangled anymore. go to your local salon and ask for a moiturizing shampoo and conditioner.

Shampoo first then conditioner. Comb your hair while the conditioner is in, then rinse.
