whatever you call it? when they look like their smacking their lips together and make that hissing sound. It is so annoying. Whats the whole point of doing it and why be so rude?.

You got me there. It seems that women who think of themselves as "high society" like to make smacking noises with their mouth when talking for some odd reason. I think that it is just a trend.

It sounds like you are describing the action of sucking your teeth, which is a common practice to get something out, that is stuck between them. For nstance, you just ate some meat and a small piece of it remains stuck, you would suck it out (some people use a tooth pick). I don't believe that can be considered rude.
But if you are speaking of the clucking sound, it is meant as an insult, to demean someone, as if that person is beneath you in intelligence or societal standing. In this case, it would be considered rude.

I assume you're referring to that horrid habit of what I call "sucking" on your teeth. You're right, it is very annoying and rude. I can only think it's because they've not been taught proper societal behavior....or choose to ignore what they've been taught. I just want to hand them a toothpick and direct them to a restroom.

This is just one of my many "pet peeves"! LOL
