This is a serious question.

What is the Biblical position of the following question...

Since God the Father sent His Son Jesus to die for the sins of mankind did He (the Father) commit murder or, at the very least, infantcide.

Alternatively, did Jesus commit suicide by willingly sacrificing Himself for mankind?

I appreciate all sincere answers to these questions.

Sheesh! Some of the responses I've gotten have been anything but sincere.

Look, I'm not trying to offend anyone -- this is an honest question. Of course, it presumes that the Bible isn't myth (never said it was) and that there is a God (I believe there is).

So, with that in mind, before raking me over the coals for trying to incite something or for asking a question that's 'been answered before' (I've never seen the answer or I wouldn't have asked the question), why not try to answer it (with Bibilcal notations if possible).

By the way, I appreciate all those who really have tried to answer it honestly.

Seriously, it's all a Christian mythology borrowed from Greek mythology, borrowed from Egyptian mythology, borrowed from Sumerian mythology, borrowed from the original sun-worship primitive religion. The rising and setting of the sun everyday is the ultimate basis of all those sacrifice, suffering, death, burial, resurrection mythologies of ancient and primitive religions.

Jesus did die a physical death to open the gates of heaven to allow the possibility of souls to reach heaven and to regain Gods relationship with man. This SACRIFICE had to be made from a pure and unblemished source which only Jesus could fulfill. No greater love hath a man who gives his life for his friends. Jesus is not dead nor was there murder from God.

I don't know if it's worth raking up a lot of old history; because history, like one of my friends used to say, is made up of "his" "story".

But then, Jesus had the Courage to stand up for His Convictions and even die for them. I don't know about you, but I consider this admirable.

If you know the Bible well enough, then you know that the Roman Governer - Pontius Pilate tried very hard to save Him and Caiphas was steadfast in getting the Romans to carry out his decree of death on the Cross.

Now since Jesus was in his thirties when He was crucified, your claim of "infanticide" is not tenable.

Also, since Jesus did not take His own life, your charge of "suicide" is also invalid.

Now, what else is left of your "Question"?

devil began his deception interior the backyard of eden and he has not stopped. while humanity lives ungodly lives those are the terrible issues we see consequently. What if mankind had chosen to obey God's rules of affection then there may well be no homicide, no rape, no stealing, etc. God gave the bible with some gory information to instruct us the way we would desire to consistently not stay and how that we would desire to consistently stay. He had chosen the descendants of Abraham as his human beings through fact he become obedient and generations of his toddlers as nicely. They have been his toddlers and he become making the way for them. while a city usual peace then there become no conflict yet while they did not God helped his human beings harm them through fact he knew they might come and harm his human beings at a later time. God become calling the strikes here and he become dictating the suited strikes to maintain his human beings. Peace loving human beings have been spared yet people who had to conflict weren't. that's the way God bumped off destiny threats and negative aspects from around his human beings. The God of the universe provided those cities peace by his human beings and a few refused it and suffered the outcomes. God has the flexibility to furnish existence or take existence and unquestionably all and sundry has a call. (Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this present day against you, that I truthfully have set earlier you existence and dying, blessing and cursing: hence choose existence, that the two thou and thy seed might stay:) the alternative is ours.

Deep questions. Who would bring an indictment against God? Who would judge?
Jesus submitted to his fathers will, so no suicide there.
In one respect, we all receive the sentence of death, whether it is by violent means or on "deathbeds of ease". I would not say that is murder, a consequence of SIN.

Since there is no God there was no actual crime. However, if you analyze the fictional Biblical text, not only is God the Father responsible for his sons death, but the blood of millions of murders are directly on his hands.
The real crime is teaching Biblical stories as fact to children.

Suicide is taking your own life. Jesus was killed.

Just because He didnt' fight back you want to say it was suicide.

This question has been answered a dozen times.

So how about this, if it was suicide, Jesus still died for you. and yet some reject Him. Jesus didn't die on the cross, His physical body did. He is a spirit and can't die. The body was used to pour all of God's wrath out onto, instead of pouring it out on us.

First of all we must realize that only the mortal part of Jesus was killed. He came out of the tomb after three days and rejoined the Father in Heaven..My Jesus is not dead...He lives!

None of your premises would be correct as Jesus still lives..Even the body was gone after three days...So no one could have been charged with murder and Jesus reappeared to the disciples three days after his death therefore he still lived and could not have comitted suicide...He is still here...Ask him next time your at Starbucks.....He loves the coffee there...

No.

"Murder" and "suicide" are of man (the physical world).

God and the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus for the salvation of our souls is spiritual.
