Hellenism is following the path of the Ancient Greek gods.
Most divide the solar cycle into an Appolonic year and a Dionysian year, then celebrate the various festivals within the appropriate times. Male and female mysteries are kept separate and Olympic competition is held on major feast days to honor the Gods.
