I just wore my kevlar for three days (MUTA 6) my chin & jawline is broke out with acne... this always happens to me when I wear it & i'm wondering if any other female soldiers have this problem & what they do to fix/control it.

I keep baby wipes on me during training and I wipe in a downward motion.

Also, I clean put my chin-strap in the washer as often as possible. Those things are a breeding ground for germs.

The only thing you can do is wash your face everyday...especially if you are wear camo...what causes it is that you sweat underneath the chin strap and it clogs your pores...I had a problem with it when I was a young soldier, but got better the older I got...also you could, if you are permitted, not wear it all the way tight...this will help...

Sounds like your pores are getting clogged with dirt. Make sure your chinstrap is clean and also clean your chin when you can. Try using acne cleaners as well as soap and water with washcloth. One idea is to get another chinstrap so you can clean one, switching the chinstrap each day - like your boots.

If it's camo thats causing it, I found Petroleum Jelly will clean it easily.

Maybe throw a light coating of vaseline or lotion on your chin to make the strap irritate less, if you keep the chin with a light coating of vaseline or lotion on it the strap won't make as much contact so it will irritate less.
