I wouldn't be surprised at all. Check to see which politicians have received contributions from WALMART... watch for those defeated politicians who move off of Capitol Hill onto K-Street.

What I'm SADDENED by is the Washington has seduced the Republicans...

Then there was the President who accepted money from China to overlook things like patent law, espionage, human rights, and treason.

There probably will be more gerrymandering by various state legislatures after this census. But, how would gerrymandering within states help in a presidential election? Except for Nebraska & Maine, each state is winner-take-all for electors, and I can't imagine anyone gerrymandering the borders of the states themselves. In any case, given all the debate in Washington about the subject, it is very unlikely that some sort of blanket amesty like what you're talking about could get through Congress, even if Obama wanted to do it. (And if he did & could, such a move would gain lots of votes against him as well.)

Fix the price of most commodities at a certain level and the FTC will bust you quicker than you can say anti-trust.

Fix the price of labor and sell it as "the minimum wage".

The minimum wage is the lowest wage any worker is willing to take.

Economic laws cannot be legislated any more than politicians can be kept honest, which is why Washington, D.C. should have most of its power taken away.

Politicians anywhere in the world would make use of their POLYTRICKS to make money irrespective of norms. The best tricksters who are experts to fish in trouble waters. If they at least win one term of office which will be more than enough for them to make money for the rest of their life.Exceptions are just few among Poly Tricksters.

Maybe at the local level, and I'll bet on in the Border Patrol.

However, I think it's unlikely at the federal level.
