My dog grabbed a bite sized kit-kat bar from the halloween candy bowl. I was attempting to get it away from her, she just about bit me, and before I knew it she swallowed the thing wrapper and all!!
She's a lab/shepehrd mix and is healthy. I think she'll just pass it. I've known dogs to pass other things like paper and stuff.
What do you think?

At her size the fun sized candy bar and wrapper will come out on the other end so to speak. Things will be fine. That much chocolate will not hurt her and the wapper won't either.
Dogs eat strage things and most times things pass. Just check for a few days to make sure.

My pitbull just passed a AA battery yesterday. Yeah. I would warn about hard plastic like the twist-off tops on soda bottles. It can cut their insides as well as being difficult to pass. (Yes, same dog.) A vet once told me that some of the plastics used in the cheap dog dishes from outside the US can have toxic ingredients. May i also suggest that allowing your dog to nip or bite you over food (or for any reason) is a sign of aggressive behavior that should not be allowed even once more. Good luck.

Labs eat everything...Mine has eaten full bags of cat food (in the neighbors garage), an entire bowl of trick-or-treat candy (I TOLD my husband to put it up high!), full tri-tip steaks off the counter (how to improvise dinner for 10 people quick...) and a small rubber bouncing ball (I thought we were headed for the vet on that one..)...In each case, all came out in the end...

Just keep her away from the Christmas tree - Tinsel ingestion will cost you a lot at the vet - Trust me!

Sounds like she's a large enough dog that you have nothing to worry about. Chocolate is dangerous in large amounts for a dog that size. I would not be concerned as long as she only ate one bite size piece of chocolate.

Always call your vet if you're not sure though.

Keep an eye on her. Chocolate is very dangerous for dogs, toxic in larger quantities. Be sure to put it way high up so there's no chance she can get any more.

She should pass the paper wrapper though. Sorry, you'll have to keep an eye on her poop for that.

Whatever goes in must come out. It is such a little thing and and sounds like you dog is pretty big. I have a Yellow Lab and she has eating a couple bags of marshmallows and plenty of other things and she gets the runs and that's about it.

At that size, she will be just fine...not to worry..It will all come out in the 'end'... Now, if it was a 4 pound Chihuahua it would be different...

don't worry about it, keep your eye on her and check her poop for the wrapper.
