Or are the atheists just more vocal? This is the Religion & Spirituality forum and it's filled with unbelievers!

That would depend entirely on what you mean by the term "believers".

Are Jews, Hindus, Muslims, Pagans, Buddhists, and so on "believers"?

Or just Christians?

Or just your particular denomination of Christians?

*********

I don't actually think, from my short time here, that atheists outnumber people of religion. Nor do I think that they are more vocal. It might be fun to do an experiment to find out what is *actual and factual* here, by picking a random number of days to check, and counting both the questions (people of some religion vs. self-identified atheists), and doing a tally on how many people identify as being religious and how many identify as atheists.

I'm not sure I want to do this unless I can figure out a shortcut, but I'm *always* interested in finding out *what is so* as opposed to what people think about this sort of thing.

It's been my experience on various BBSs that each group tends to feel that those "others" are hogging the board, or are the most populous or loudest.

Anyone have any tips on a quick and easy and *accurate* way of finding out what the facts are, here?

Yes. Some come because they want to provide the badly needed counterargument to religion. Some because they enjoy the topic. Some because they are deeply spiritual despite not believing in a spirit-realm.

A thing and its denial are both 'of the thing'. It is very appropriate to have non-believers here.

Believer says: Believers want to share their experience, atheists only want to speak their opinions.

Atheist says: Believers are numby gaggots and atheists believe in scientific fact.

Jesus lovers say: Love Jesus

Baptists say: It doesn't matter you're all going to hell.

Scientologists say: Theta! Theta! Theta!

I am personally getting tired of this site and don't visit as often as I use to. The Christians are probably turned off to all the bashing that is going on here and do more good elsewhere.

The number of atheists in the world is growing with each passing day as people realize that Christianity leaves much to be desired. And as they realize other religions have more to offer than fear of punishment and the only good thing being "Basking in the glory of god" when you die.

Sometimes it seems so but I don't think so. Maybe they are just more verbal, however reading these answers, on many questions regarding God it seems the Christians are strong, steadfast and firm! Thanks be to God!
