I am the same way. I turn red so often it's not even funny. But I have learned in some situations I can control it. I make fun of myself. I had to talk to a large group of people and I opened up with not only do you get a good speaker I change colors too. Once I laughed about it - it made it so much easier to cope with. I just kinda laugh about and I have gotten more confident with it.

you got a case of old fashioned stage fright. Practice in front of friends and or a mirror... I used to sing infront of my pets before I would go to an audition. It takes awhile to get over, it's just normal anxiety, not everyone is comfortable with being put on the spot. I would try and take a public speaking course or even an introduction to improvisation. It will help you fell really at home up there, instead of feeling alone or wierd.

One day you will get up there and suddenly feel like you have known your audience your whole life, don't picture them naked... that doesn't work, and only leads to really bad mental pictures that you don't need to see :)

Good luck

It's speech anxiety. I feel the same way when I have to do a speech in my speech class in college. Practice a few days before you give the speech and remember to think positive (fill your head with happy thoughts). I would also recommened practicing in front of a mirror or with family and friends. The more experience the better.

Good luck :)

Make sure you know your subject very well. If you have to speak about something you don't know well, make sure you know your speech very well. If you're still nervous, don't look people directly in the eye, look at their foreheads instead. If you're still nervous, imagine them in their underwear. And keep practicing! You'll get better at it as time goes on.
