I'm just curious, because Evangelists never get tired to proselytize people, especially the poor ones. Is there a chapter or a verse in the bible that says that a Christian HAS to proselytize?

Jesus told all his followers to preach the Gospel to every creature; this is what evangelism really means. It's known as the Great Commision. A Christian should want to preach the Gospekl to a world that is so obviously lost in order that some may find salvation and not perish. The Old and New Testament are full of verses which command us to share God,s message with those who are lost

Matthew 28:19 & 20 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
Mark 16:15 "He said to them, Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation."
Acts !:8 "But you will receive power whenthe Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and to all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

You can evangelize to the entire world with one verse from the Bible. I do it. It is John 3:16. If you can get people to accept this, you can lead them to salvation.

Because it is a commandment from God. Jesus said to go out and make deciples of all nations in the first chapter of Acts. He told us to because if people do not hear the truth, that they go to hell. But God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believeth in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life. How will people believe unless someone tells them? Jesus is the door to eternal life here and now.

Jesus evangelized.
The ENTIRE Book of Acts.
All the Epistles are addressed either to Churches established during evangelistic trips, or to people met during those travels.

To spread the Gospel and to bring the Lost to know Christ and get them to live a godly life. I think those that don't believe in God or Christ or the Bible are confused about life and need a wake up call.

Mark 16:15
He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.

Isaiah 61:1
[ The Year of the LORD's Favor ] The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,

-Yes we are to share God's wonderful truth.

-Also as it says in Romans 10:17 "Faith comes from hearing, and by hearing the word of God" --so therefore one must HEAR the gospel in order to receive it. Another reason why God tells us to share his truth with others...

Jesus said in the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John - at the end of each book - "Go (to the ends of the earth - near and far) and make disciples, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit." Pretty clear to me.
