My daughter has some of the Trix yogurt cups and really wants to take one in her lunch to school tomorrow. I am very picky about expiration dates, how long things have been in or out of the frig etc.... I pack her lunch ar 7:30am and she eats at 10:30am so it would be out of the frig for 3 hours. It doesn't sound like a good idea to me, but seems to be very important to her so I thought I would ask for advice from "the experts" lol. Everyone have a great day and thanks for taking the time to help me out!!!!!

No, we never had a nutrition combat at my previous severe college. We did no longer have a cafeteria the two, we had a small canteen next to the drama block while i replaced into interior the east campus (the junior college, years 8&9) and somewhat shop that replaced into privately run via an older couple while i replaced into on the west campus (the senior college years 10, 11 & 12). nevertheless, we had some loopy nutrition moments. like the time while i replaced into in 3 hundred and sixty 5 days 8 and a few guy offered a pie from the canteen and threw it at a window. Or the time Jess and that i've got been sent to the concentration room for throwing flour at one yet another in the time of residing house Ec. and each summer season, there could be a great water combat. the youngsters extensively utilized to swear a lot, wore a uniform and did no longer have their own automobiles. And at some point, best Minister Paul Keating got here around and the crucial forgot the PMs call while he presented Mr Keating in assembly. Oh and assembly replaced into continually held interior the "open area" with snot green carpet, and not in some enormous stay overall performance hall. there have been no cheerleaders. Hell, we did no longer also have a soccer team. It replaced into no longer something like an American action picture.

I think leaving it out for 3 hours is fine. I really do not think it will hurt the yogurt. Does she have an insulated lunch box? If so and you are really worried put an ice pack in with a seperate insulated bag with the yogurt. But, if she doesn't have one, I really think it will be fine. A couple of weeks ago my 3 year old got the yogurt out of the fridge and hid it. I couldn't find it for about 2 or 3 hours. When I did find it I opened one to be sure and it was fine.

No problem, I pack them for my son almost daily. He has an insulated lunch pack and I put an ice pack thing in there. Or if you don't have any ice packs, put the yogurt in the freezer at like 6 am, then when you take it out at 7:30 it will be colder and take longer to warm up.

I freak out about stuff like that too, but in Europe they keep that suff out of refregeration -thats how they store it. I am a teacher I also work in the lunch room 1/2 the kids that bring their lunch have yogurt. You can also use a cold pack in her lunch box. Anway 3 hours is fine. I am a diabetic and I sometimes keep yogurt in my purse for my mid morning snack-its always been fine.

Why don't you just put a small ice pack up against it? They have cool little ones in different shapes (like stars, soccer balls etc) they are usually with the insulated lunch bags at Walmart and Target and such. This should solve the problem :)

Go to Target or Walmart and buy small ice packs for her lunch box. EVERY single day, I use them for my kid's lunch box... husband's too. They have some that come with characters on them like Sponge Bob, Blues Clues, etc.

They make reusable ice to put in coolers and lunch bags. They even have some with fun shapes just for kids lunch bags. They'll keep her lunch cool and when she gets home just put it back in the freezer and it'll be ready for the next day.
