If you want to get the best results, pay the $40.00 or more and have a professional do the job.
If you are insistent on doing it your self, you have to remove the color you have first, use a bleaching product such as Ultra Blue, you may have to go to a beauty supply store to get this but some stores that have hair dies have ultra blond bleaches. Or you can try to neutralize the red in your hair. Try using a blond with a green base color or the word ASH in the title. that will neutralize the red.

hey when I was 17 my friends thought it would be fun to dye my hair. I am a guy, brown hair. Did it the old fashioned way, shirt off, under the sink.... I thought id look hot with the dirty blonde look.....welll, it turned my hair orange and I was stuck with it for a while. It sucked!!! so my recomendation is just to leave it the way it is now. cuz we just dont get the luxury of that.

Well, I am a white girl and what you say about white girls being lucky, it is not true! Who says white girls do not get hairy? You would be surprised. I have seen girls with more hairs on their arms, the part between elbow and wrist, than a man! Yes, you heard right, it looked very bad. I do not like seeing shaved arms that much but hey, better be shaved than have an arm that is hairy like a man's! Your option is not just laser. Have you heard of threading? I am sure Middle Eastern women do it too. You can thread your upper lip, the sides of your cheeks and of course your body but halawa = wax is better for the body. I know you have reason to feel bad about the hairs. I have a problem with my ovaries, called Poly cystic Ovaries Syndrome, which causes me to have fine hairs on my face, on my chin as well as the side of my cheeks. I am not hairy anywhere else but being a bit hairy on the face knocks my confidence. I have started threading and I am getting used to it. You can totally start threading, it hurts a little but it lasts for 2 to 3 weeks and you do not get stubble, like with waxing. About hair for the rest of your body, you can use an epilator, which can potentially cause some ingrown hairs but most Middle Eastern women rely on epilators as the results last longer than shaving. If you were lighter, I would have suggested hair bleaching but this obviously will not look too great on your dark skin. So, you can thread or wax your face and epilate/wax your body until you get older and be able to get the laser done. And parents sometimes tease us for things without realizing that their teasing hurts us. I am sure you have gorgeous, dark Arabic eyes that with some black kohl on will make hearts break. And whoever is gonna fall in love with you, will not even bother about hairs because a) you are beautiful b) you will have already taken care of the hairs! So, do not worry about it. You will find something that works for you.

brunettes shouldn't try to go blond unless they can go to a decent salon to get it done. since your hair is light brown and you want to go honey blond and not platinum, it could turn out well, but do-it-yourself or the salon on the corner of your block is not the way to go. again, go to a pro.
