No.
But if it happens to be your hot boss, it's okay to lick your lips.

lol! Happens to me everyday..I usually say "good morning" the first time, and then smile the other times - maybe even add a line, like (said jokingly) "is it almost lunch?!". But, No - it will sound weird if you keep saying Hi, then they have to say Hi back - they'll probably try to avoid you (even though you're being friendly)....

It can be awkward. I've had that problem. Usually after the first pass for the day, I just nod and smile.

No - it's kinda awkward, but they are probably thinking the same thing. Just give a little smile after the first time.

the first time you see them is fine. but throughout the day i don't think it is necessary. a simple good morning or good afternoon should tied them over.

Just once is ok. If you pass by them more times you could just smile or nod

No. Even a nod of the head gets old.

It is never polite to ignore people. Usually a simple smile will suffice.

probably not. if you have to pass that person a lot, it would probably be okay just to smile or nod or something.

I just smile, or nod to acknowledge their presence.
