Where I'm from Ghetto Kool Aid is slang for tap water in the hood. The Kool aid Man comes to everybody party, white, black, whatever, "hey it's Kool Aid" because it is inexpensive and tastes great. Given my choice I wont touch the stuff because boy did we drink KoolAid growing up! Maybe I'm not really African American because I liked to mix different "flavors" like green with blue. It puzzles me to this day that the word ghetto is so associated with African Americans because the word was created in associations with Jews and where they lived when Hitler was living foul.

Kool-aid is not a ghetto drink! What's up with that? Kool-aid is a affordable drink. It's a good tasting drink that you can buy if you can't buy pop, soda or soft drink, (According what area of the world you are in.) Why do people try to label kool-aid as a ghetto drink? Kool-aid is a affordable drink!!!

I'm 48 years old and I grew up on Kool-Aid. I still love it. My favorites are Rockadile Red and Purplesaurus Rex, unfortunatly they don't make either of them any more. Now I like the Pink Lemonade and Black Cherry.

I used to drink koolaid at my friend's house all the time... and we were anything but ghetto; more like hillbilly farm kids, lol. I liked orange.

Sounds like Red Bull and other energy drinks have long replaced kool-aid in the inner city. I thought trolls stayed on top of these trends....

I had kool-aid last night, the sugar free kind. I went to a friends house for dinner and thats all she had. I personally like either soda or tea.
