cool aide is not a good substitute for water, but there are a lot of sports drinks like gator aid that are as well as fitness water like propel made by gator aid. You can try flavoring water with lemon or a small bit of a powder drink mix, like Chrystal light or other similar products. Just no caffeine. and I choose to believe my Dr. on water not some urban myth website

I like kool-aid myself, but unfortunately it's not just as good as water. Kool-aid is very high in sugar. If you need some taste to your water, try one of the flavored waters.

"I'm supposed to drink more water.."
You probably think you're "supposed to" drink more water because someone told you that you need "8 glasses a day".
I wish people would stop repeating that 8 glasses a day stuff -IT'S NOT TRUE!!
You don't need to drink 8 glasses of water a day. You certainly don't need 1/2 your body weight (in oz.) per day. You don't need ANY arbitrary target amount per day. All those old wives' tales have been debunked. So has the thought that sugared drinks and caffeinated drinks don't "count".
Drink when you're thirsty. Period!

Now, if you're worried about calories, then the question of "is kool-aid just as good" becomes relevant. Obviously, the calories in normal (sugared) Kool-aid are not good if you're trying to lose weight. In that case, go for the sugar-free Kool-aid or Crystal Lite.

8 glasses an afternoon is a fantasy advice. in case you're energetic, then you definately ought to drink a cup previously your workout habitual, and gradually jointly as you're determining, then a cup after your workout habitual. in any respect different cases during the day, drink once you're thirsty. A cup would do, each and every so often much less. the subject isn't that persons are not ingesting adequate water an afternoon. the subject is that maximum persons get their water by way of sodas, coffees, beer, and different beverages that are actually not healthful. in case you replace all your soda with water, you would be lots fit. remember, you're unlikely to go through of thirst as long as you drink once you like to. yet you are going to be overhydrated.

No, all the sugar will ruin all you are trying to do. Try the new sugarless individual packets they sell to flavor your water. In walmart they have Apple, cranberry apple, lemonaide, peach tea, cherry lime and an orange flavor. We all like them, there are no calories or carbs, and we drink more water now since I started buying them.

It does taste better, but no, Kool-Ade is not a substitute for water. Neither is diet soda, sugar free Kool-Ade, coffee, tea, Gatorade, or anything else.

No - drink water, and a maximum of one natural fruit juice a day. Also, don't drink with a meal, expecially not cold drinks - have a warm drink after your meal.
