i heard there was an ipod connect kit that will let me play and see waht is being played through my radio controls.
anyone have any info on this?

It is their job to manufacture so many of these cool little adapters that make our lives in the car audio industry easier. They do in fact have adapters for Navigational Radio systems for the Ipod.
