Personal Space.
When you share a place, it is hard to have you own space.
People make the mistake of lending things and barrowing things and then it turnes into a big mess.
If you keep from doing this it will cut down on problembs in the long run.
Always respect eachothers privacy and the boundries of others and you will win part of the battle of roomies.

Get out on your own ! Having roommates has its ups and downs but.........you are in a whole new ballgame ! Dad/girlfriend/girlfriends son and girlfriend ? Come on !!!!!!! You and your boyfriend need to get out and find a place of your own before the real problems start ! For $2000 a month ....y'all could live in a nice place and have your own privacy !!!!!!!!

From my experience, it's really bothersome when roommates get very noisy by blasting loud music/talk or play with people that they invite over, when you need to study/rest etc. Also if they happen to be the inconsiderate ones, they can eat your food without telling you or turn the AC freezing cold while you sleep, and you can imagine all those consequences which are nothing but horrid.

That to many people. You will have no privacy and the noise level will be terrible. For that much money get a place for just the 2 of you.

problems i have had with roommates have been pretty consistent. getting the rent from them, having them clean up after themselves, and not replacing food items.
also, they can be pretty annoying as far as understanding personal time/space.
i guess that's all i can think of.
it's not easy.
you should plan ahead and come up with a list of things you can all sit down, discuss and reach an agreement on.

I agree with the first gal who said noise and visitors. There's not a lot of privacy when you have roommates.
