In that it was unnecessary, and a poor deployment of our troops, yes, it was wrong.

The fact is, like any army, we have limited resources and they need to be used to best effect to protect our country and our citizens. The Iraq war did nothing to protect us. Saddam was contained, and was not working on any kind of banned weapons program. We should have kept him contained until the locals decided to overthrow him - that would have happened eventually.

In the meantime, our forces could have hunted down and killed the terrorists that attacked us - that was and still is our real enemy. We should also have kept up our deployment in Afgahnistan - which is now in danger of falling back under the control of the Taliban. What a terrible waste of our young people - and all because none of our leaders have ever served in the active forces.

Yes. The Iraqi people are quiet able to defend themselves, and have proved they could have dismissed Saddam. Saddam kept the country in unity and the country prospered. To bad he would not let America dictate the oil price this was his downfall and something he will die for. He is the only one who could keep his country under control, because of the allies intervention there will be many years of conflict. But! does America have any option than to take the oil by force if a country won't give it voluntary. America's oil supplies are at an all time low and no real reserves of an quantity are being found . Perhaps this is justification for killing over 655000 and mortally wounding another 700000. Will America attack Russia? exactly how far will America go to get its oil?

All wars are wrong. But if you are backed up in a corner, you have the right to defend yourself. Were we backed up in a corner by Saddam?
Every war the USA has went into unprovoked, we have a history of losing. Every war we strike back at a country because they have attacked us first, we have won.
There was never any int eminent danger of Iraq attacking us.
Saddam's legal issues are up to the Iraqis.
And 9-11 was an attack by Al Queda, not Iraq.

The Government would not take us into a Wrong War.They have decided to go into a war for various reasons but to find the true reasons will take a very long time.I have faith that as this is a labour Government it will be for the best interest of all parties, but it would have been better if Iraq did not have oil, ,just to check my belief.

While I disagreed with the premise and "cause" for war, time and history will determine how "right" or "wrong" it was. After all, history is written by the victors. The only hope for what I would consider a victory is if the US stays long enough to get the major issues settled that we stirred up, and if that results in a better quality of life for the remainder of the Iraqi people.

Yes. George Bush was finishing a personal vendetta started by his dad. Since then a lot of innocent people have died and there's more hatred and instability in the world.

Yes, look at what we have now. Everything about it is much worse than before the war, not to mention the loss of life and money.

Yes, the War was wrong.

No WMD's....
No Terrorist connections....

Most importantly, America looks like a loser now that Bush got us into a war we can't win.

Just like Vietnam, we are learning another lesson on why we shouldn't start wars unless 120% absolutely necessary. This one, wasn't necessary at all.

SHAME.

No

We did the right thing. When we fight countries like Iraq, we fight because of what THEY have EVERY INTENTION OF DOING! Iraq's freedom means safety for America and all other countries where Christians live.

We occupied Japan for 12 yrs (?) before they were strong enough to support their own free country. Don't be naive. Just because we can't do it all, doesn't mean we shouldn't do what we can.

Although I am not a Republican, I fully support President Bush on Iraq War. Yes, Iraq War is a right thing to fight, and President Bush's decision to go Iraq was correct.
