Well I have always like red walls. However I think it looks best if it is a big room or has many windows. Red is a darker color and painting the walls this color can make it seem dark or make the room look smaller. If you do paint it red they I would suggest leaving the ceiling white and any molding you have white. I would also use light accent colors to prevent the room looking dark.

Surprisingly, it is a good color. I saw it in a house and it looked elegant. They had white painted trimmed woodwork, and I think it would have looked even better with oak natural...but so it is. They has beige carpets and it still looked good.
The room is a bit smalle looking with he dak color, but the windows light it up.
I think a hunter green would be excellent too.

Yes it is. Cranberry is very elegant for a dining room. We are planning on doing our dining room like the pic below. Click link to view.

Cranberry - as in a rich deep pink red? Id say, go for it, just keep it heavily lightened up with lots of white space (ceiling, skirting boards, fireplaces, window frames).

I think it would look nice but keep in mind the darker the color the smaller the room will appear.

That sounds so dramtic. THe color would just show off you rugs and drapes. If you put up molding in white around the ceiling that would be great

Sounds great as long as its a decent sized room and gets enough light. Otherwise, it might be too dark. You can always check it out online. Behr has a great web-site for helping you choose paint colours.

i go for accent walls. i'd particularly do my "component" on one wall. Then i visit replace it without diverse HOO-HAA. I in basic terms did a wall for a buddy the position we used crown molding frames to placed the accent colour in. it really is likewise undemanding to modify even as the mood hits you.
