What this shows me is when you point the finger of blame at someone you need to take a closer look at your hand. 3 fingers are pointing right back at you.

Also this shows me that it doesn't matter where you are or even who you are, if there is evil in your heart it is going to show itself for what it is. Calling oneself a Christian does not a Christian make. So when you claim the faith you had better live the faith or you will be shown for who and what you are.

The truth does come out and all things done in secret will come out into the open. This is what the church needs to do and that is weed out all the faults Christians so the real faith full believer can live their faith.

You are searching, in more than 1 way. We are, and have always been of free will. We make the decisions, not a religion that we follow. It has always been that way. Look at the POPES of the past. The Christians that were slaughtered by his order. EVIL !! Do you think that anyone really thinks that was GODS WILL ? Ironic ? The irony is in you. You feel so strongly that you take up your time to come to a '' religion and Spirituality '' place in ASK YAHOO ? I think you really are searching, to fill that empty place inside.

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. Love does not demand its own way. Love is not irritable, and it keeps no record of when it has been wronged.

It is never glad about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.

Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
Love will last forever.
1st Corinthians 13:4-8

Reading that over, I guess that can be taken two different ways. Take it however you want it. Love wins.

You can't judge all evangelicals by one man no more than you can judge all Methodists, Catholics or Muslims by one man.Humans will make mistakes. We will fail, we will mess up, like Mr. Haggard. But his is broadcast for all to see. Thank God all my failures are not broadcast on TV. The great thing is as a Christian, I serve the unfailing God. He never fails, falters or messes up. I surely do, but Jesus already died on the cross for all my sins and failures, THANK YOU JESUS, all I have to do is ask forgiveness when I mess up and sin, and as a human it sure happens a lot, even though I try not to. The main thing to remember here is we are all part of the human race and none of us are perfect, and never will be. Jesus is perfect and paid our debts on the cross by shedding His own blood. All you have to do is accept it and ask forgiveness and try your best to live for Him. I hope you don't use this thing with Mr. Haggard as another excuse to not be a christian and serve Jesus Christ. There will always be someone failing you, but not God. You alone will stand before Him on judgement day and give an account for your life. You alone with God. He will not ask you about other people and there will be no excuses as to why you didn't accept Him into Your life. It won't fly that other people messed up and that's your excuse for not living for Jesus. Get your eyes off people and get your eyes on God. He alone never fails. God bless you.

not ironic.

that implies something humerous in this situation.

All i can see is a sad man who fell into his unfortunate and sinful lusts and lost his ministry, his wife, his kids, his reputation, and who knows what else. Instead of hammering on him - or priests or any other minister - shouldn't Christians everywhere be praying for this poor guy and his wife and kids.

i can only imagine what they are going through. it really is heartbreaking.

I don't know about all of you Christians who will read this, but i will be known by my love.

Looks more like a general opinion but I see there is the phrase "isn't it" so here goes. ... "no it doesn't". It has always seemed to me all organizations are always watching one another and the media and uncle sam is watching them and each other. Nothing really surprises me anymore. Cept the poor man that attempted to rape his own mother last week. Everyone, everywhere I'm sure was watching that.

And likewise, your mistake to fall into the same trap of smug and malicious gloating over someone's misfortune shall only put yourself in jeopardy with the Lord, and also bring calamity upon your own head. I suggest that you, instead, do the righteous thing and prayer for what you have seemed to convey as your oppositional "enemy".

There is a difference between Fundamnetal Christians and Evangelical Christians. You shouldn't confuse them of being the same.

According to the accuser, that's the reason that he came forward and told the world. He felt that his hypocritical actions did not follow what he taught...

Mat 23:25 "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and of the dish, but inside they are full of robbery and self-indulgence.

Mat 23:27 "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men's bones and all uncleanness.
