Need to know if there is anything to put in my homeaid spagetti sauce. I am going to freeze a bunch of it but it has a burnt taste in it because the bottom of the pan was burnt? Maybe nothing will work but I just though I would ask.

Thank you,

Gee, I thought I was the only one that's goofed up like that. I've found a few things that help. The butter (or margarine) trick works well but I normally do the same as for over salting- simmer the sauce in a cleaned pot with slices of potato! Works quite well and weirdly enough the cooked potato slices taste nifty and don't have the scorched taste (where does the burned taste go?). Adding cinnamon also works and doesn't make the sauce taste 'desserty' but makes it spicier (a friends Italian grandmother suggested it!).

It's not going to be really nice if it has a burnt taste to it. Perhaps adding more fresh tomatoes to it might help a little and some parsley. But if I have burnt something, I wouldn't like to serve it.

I see the potato idea has already been mentioned. My next thought was to transfer the sauce to another container (without scraping it out). Maybe you can contrast the flavor with garlic (as mentioned, too), or something spicy. Can you add more tomatoes/sauce, etc., at this point?
Good luck.

It's ruined. But next time, if you've found it scorched on the bottom, DO NOT STIR IT. Just gently pour the sauce out into a clean pan, and scarpe up the burnt stuff later.

Butter. Add one tablespoon at a time until the taste comes out. You may need to use one or two tablespoons

try putting a bit of oil in the pan before hand or put the heat right down when you are cooking it!

Get yourself a Cast Iron Pot to make your sauce, it won't burn.

Well, you can start by not burning the pasta in the first place and actually keeping an eye on the sauce and not watching Despearte Housewives, stupid.
