I have a few little things that I do and I was wondering if anyone knows what they could be if anything at all. The closest I can come to is either OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) and/or tourettes syndrom. If I have either it would be a very slight case (that I'm aware of). THe first thing is, when I sit down, I have to be facing a certain way to be comfortable. Like, at a resturaunt, I have to be sitting on a certain side of table or I'll get really uncomfortable. I can't specifically tell you what side it is until I get there. One side will just give me an uncomfortable feeling and I have to move. I also don't like people sitting or being behind me, I feel like they are trying to scare me or grab me. I also twitch some. Not alot and only when I'm stressed, like angry or upset. My head will twitch a little. I know that I have restless leg syndrom so I was thinking maybe it could be part of that. I will get an intense feeling in my hands or leg and I just have to tense it up and shake it out or something. Does anyone know what this could be? Is it all in my head? Is it normal? Or just nothing at all?

Sounds like you do have a big problem with anxiety. Don't know if it's any of the above but have it treated/diagnosed by a medical professional and quit reading medical books! You will diagnose yourself with every disease out there.

Doesn't really sound like OCD to me. OCD is when you HAVE to do something, like mentally you can't get on with your day if you don't. If you are capable of sitting on the other side of that table, as opposed to OCD patients who literally could not bring themselves to sit. You may be very high strung, the twitching is probably caused by the fact that you are very tense. I get a little skeeved when people sit behind me. You may want to see a mental health specialist anyways. Whatever is causing the intense feelings can probably be fixed and being that tense all the time is wearing on your body.

Get yourself checkd by a Neurologist to rule out Tourettes if that is the case. OCD often accompanies Tourettes.

No responsible person could diagnose you from a paragraph on the internet. It sounds as though your symptoms are bothersome to you. If so, seek the help of a qualified mental health professional who will meet with you personally and discuss your options.

Sounds like OCD and also something else...possibly Parkinson's...? Tourette's is normaly a constant twitch that worsens. If you only do it when you are very upset or stressed--it just doesn't sound like it. They used to treat restless leg syndrome with Parkinson's medications, like Levadopa. But now they have Requip and it's very good.
Please talk to your doctor.

I have some similar things as you do and I have both Tourettes and OCD. I was diagnosed this summer so I would get a referral to a neurologist who can diagnose it for you. good luck!

It is probably Obsessive Compulsive Syndrome, but it could be caused by a psychological condition.
