yes you can but be careful the sissors they use can really damage your hair if you thin it to much it makes it dry and break so don't get to much thinned. i would recommend that you try using a sleek shampoo and conditioner this will help your hair look more thinner

Yes, there are such things as thinning scissors (they look like scissors made out of combs! because obviously they cut like half your hair instead of all of it!).
When I grew out my hair it got to a stage where it seemed to be getting thicker rather than longer, and it's so thick that I can't drag my fingers through it. I bought a pair of thinning scissors, hacked at it, and it was a lot better. Much better to get someone else to hack at it for you though - they can see what they're doing!
Although once I went to my hairdressers and asked for it to be trimmed and thinned - she said 'Which one? You can't do both.', and I was like 'Erm, yes you can!'. Silly girl. So go to a good hairdressers!

yes they can thin your hair. I had a lady who did it to me all the time, but I didn't like the way it looked and it hurt like hell because I don't think she was doing it right. So make sure you go to someone who knows what they are doing and who won't rip out too much.

You don't want to thin your hair because when it grows back it will be thicker than before. You will want to layer it. Not thin it, hope this helps

It is definately possible with thin hair. This style will make it look thicker too. Use some thickening gel on it afterwards . Dry it . Beautiful. This style is great. This style is called an inverted bob.

Well i don't know the type of haircut it is..
but everytime my local hairdresser gives me a haircutr i ask her to thin it out first. she gets saftey sissrs and slides them across my hair and then brushes the hair out. it works very well i might add. you can try or just ask a hairdresser to thin out your hair. they will know what you mean =]]

Of course, just ask to have your hair thinned, you are so lucky though, my hair is already so thin, id give anything for thicker hair. Also layering works well.

Try shaggy or layered. Your hair can be cut and styled in layers in such a way that it's "thinner" or would appear with less volume. You could also try getting a straight perm.

They can thin its appearance through styling (blowdrying straight) and skimming the hair towards the bottom with the scissors - my hairdresser takes areas of my hair and thins those sections towards the bottom by running her scissors down them. Am I being at all clear? Your hairdresser will know, anyway.
