There were two people that were struck dead for lying to the Holy Spirit.
First Ananias and then his wife Sapphira.

Two people actually.
Ananais and Sapphira. They were giving money to the apostles and lied that they had given everything when they had actually kept some of it for themselves. It wasn't that they kept the money, they lied when asked about it and it displeased God so intensely that he struck them dead.
(I know some politians I wish God would strike dead.)

There were two, husband and wife, Ananias, and Sapphira. Acts ch.5. They sold some land and said they sold for this amount when they actually sold it for more.

It was a couple Ananias and Saphira, if I remember correctly. And it was because they lied about their gift for a sacrafice. They said they gave it all, and they actually held some back. poof-dead
