Were Noah's children saved because of him or because they too found grace? I ask because if the flood was global like Christians believe, then it was Noah's family that got evil started all over again since they were the only survivors of the Flood. Another question is how all the animals of the earth fit in a 450 ft. boat. A cubit is 18-22 inches and the boat was 300 cubits.They went into the ark in pairs and there were 7 pairs of clean animals. Of course this is a miracle because snakes and rats, mongoose and snakes etc. do not like each other. I think about whether they ate or fasted during the time in the ark. Please comment.

First question: They probably were saved because of Noah. They may have had grace with God, but obviously the bloodline still failed. That's why we needed Christ.
Second question: I doubt Noah brought grown animals, as pictures often show. I bet God sent two of each kind of animal babies, so they could grow and mate. They probably brought food for themselves, and the animals. It is a miracle they all survived, and Noah and his family didn't go crazy with all those animals! I'm not sure how the measurements play out now, but I remember lining up on a campground to show the size of the ark, and it was friggin' huge.

After the flood, the descendants of Noah started to sin again.
Only 2 or 7 pairs of every KIND of animal was brought onto the ark.
There are many breeds of dogs, poodle, collie, Shepard's, etc; but they are all dogs and there for 1KIND of animal. Since the flood they have become many breeds again. This is called micro evolution and is the only type of evolution that is a science, the big bang and other ideas are just theories.
Before the flood animals did not eat each other, that started after the flood. Now and then you will hear of a animal that lives at peace with other animals (I read a story of a tiger that only eat vegetation in the wild - and it was doing fine. Or how different kinds of animals will live together, like a cat and a bird, etc.)

There are only two posssible explanations:
1) God can do anything, he is magic!
2) The story is fiction and never occcurred. Obviously, 35000 species of animals (the "estimated amount" by the Center for Creation Science in LA, CA.) could never fit into a boat made less than half the size of the Titanic - which carried only 2200 passengers and crew....Not to mention that logistics or providing food, water and cage clean up for that many animals.
Choice between 1 & 2 is yours...

Noah's sons -Sem,Japheth and Chan.
Chan's son Chanaan did not cover Noah's nakedness (due to the wine consumed).
Gen 9:25 Cursed be Chanaan (to be a servant)
Japheth family became the island of the Gentiles.
Sem's family begot Abram (Abraham)

For your first question, I'm not sure whether it is global or not, but Noah's son was not a good person, and so he drowned.
How the animals were able to fit... well, that is what is simply called a God's miracle. I don't really know though whether they ate or fasted, but I do know the mercy of God kept them from eating each other.
All you have to do is believe in God's great ability.

At the time of the flood there were no meat eating animals that were created by God. Satan has been manipulating nature and us too the extent that very little is recognizable from the way that God intended and created it.
