Mexico has helped Cuba through a very liberal immigration policy among other things. It has been a mediator in US/Cuban relations. Any casual reading of a related book on the subject will tell you that. Mexico was also the launching point for the boats that took El Ché and Fidel (et al) to Cuba. So what if it's Communist? It's the Helms-Burton Act that has ****** it up, not Communism. However,. they still have better health care than gringos, according to the W.H.O.

Cubans just go through Mexico to get to the US and vice versa. Aren't we all obsessed w/ Mexico?
