Swimming is good for all over body fitness. It's less boring than the others too. Just get a good anti-chlorine shampoo for after or you'll smell like a pool all day ;)

I walk my dog gently every day sometimes, one, two or three times a day. Swimming is excellent for the body. Running is probably the last place to start because unless your body is used to it you could damage your body. Building up first, walking, walking and swimming, then power walking into jogging then running. Good Luck

the most benefical excercise, especially after a hard days work is all to do the your arms and hands. operataing the corkscrew, lifting the wine glass out of the cupboard and then.. pour. spend the next few hours lifting - up, down.. keep the glass full for maximum results. cheers.

I personally think swimming is horrible. I hate getting my hair wet for a workout. Then spending 30mins trying to straighten it and redo it. So I don't do swimming at all... even though I bet its the best one.
I do the Elliptical trainer and find that its amazing at keeping fat at bay or burning it off. You can adjust the intensity and just give-er!
Good luck!

Definitely swimming which excersises virtually al the muscles in the body. When i'm dieting which is almost year round nowadays i find doing stomach crunches invaluable.

walking/stretching(or yoga) I would have to go with......even swimming has negative impacts when done for years on end....just look as someone thats been doing wayyyy too much breaststroke and their shoulders are almost turned outward...due to a muscle imbalance

depends what you want to achieve.
If it is inch loss and suppleness to protect your bones etc then callanetics is the best.
Swimming is a good form of excercise which is cardiovascular and low impact for joints etc
