are you close with your family? now i dont mean close in a physical way as if whether u guys live near each other or not...i mean close in a personal way as in....do you share secrets w/ each other and tell each other of ur personal lives and so on....etc.
i am just curious, because it seems that nowaydays...even people who live w/ their parents and/or their family members do not really have a close bond w/ them...is this normal???

My family was abusive and disfunctioal, so we're happiest with just an occasional phone call to each other. My mother is in a nursing home and it takes me a real effort to visit her. My father died 5 years ago.

We as a family are close. But not close enough to tell each
other secrets. My sisters do live in the same City and I have 3
sisters that live in L.A. CA. and 1 in Utah. I am closer to my daughters then my own sisters. I can tell my 2 daughters anything
and I know it will stay among us. I have a limit on saying anything
to my sisters. And they do the same. But we do have a good
time together as one big happy family. There is only one someone were missing out of our lives and that is our father
he is deceased.

Your question kind of made me sad. I come from a large family, I was especially close to my mother and sisters they are my confidants and I theirs. I am close with both of my sons and countless nieces and nephews. We love to get together often and share good food and good memories reminiscing about the good old days. And even though sometimes there might me misunderstandings amongst us if anyone of us where in trouble we would all be there for each other. To me, at the end of the day all you really have is family. Friends are awesome but family is forever.

my partner and I are real close to her family and mine. We spend a little more time with her parents than the rest of my family, going out one day each weekend to eat and things, we have game night with them. With my family we have family dinners and things.

No, I choose i replaced into nearer to my sister who has 2 little ladies! i'm basically on the fringe of my youthful brother! My pals have become my relatives and that they seem to be a lot greater suitable at helping me (emotionally) than my relatives has ever been!

I'm close to my Mom......we got closer as I got older and understood where she was coming from......I have 3 brothers and 1 sister....I close to my younger brother.....we think alike.
