My mom's recently started using internet sites such as recipegoldmine.com and tasteofhome.com to get new recipes, but she also watches Food Network and goes to their website to get recipes if she or I see something and think it's good. Her life-long go-to cookbook though is always a really good church cookbook. She can find nearly anything in all the ones she has. Whenever we go to a festival or some kind of thing like that, she will usually pick one up and they have a lot of heirloom recipes and really simple recipes so I guess I would highly recommend getting a church cookbook.

Joy of Cooking is my 'go-to' book. Highly recommended. Good recipes, good explanation of ingredients and techniques. Also use The Foods & Wines of Spain by Penelope Casas very frequently. Mexico One Plate at a Time by Rick Bayless and Lidia's Italian-American cookbooks are also good resources.

I don't really use a cook book. I use the Food Network and the internet. If I see something I want to try I check those places first. They great!

I use an old version of Betty Crocker. No matter what I cook, it always turns out. I use a couple other cookbooks that have very old fashioned scratch recipes, but they aren't the same.

The Betty Crocker cookbook. It has a red & white checked cover. I have been using mine for over 30 years. The recipies are very well detailed and uncomplicated.
