I'm a very lame translator and I would like to ask you some questions about the meaning of the following phrases:

"The publilsher assumes the rights to edit and illustrate the text"
- tell me if he is going to check errors in text or simply publish it, like a book

"trade of proffesional activity" - what does it mean??? :)
