I think that sanitary conditions matter more than appearance. If a restaurant is tiny and shabby, but immaculate, than no, you should'nt pay mind. The very best Mexican food I have ever eaten is served in a tiny little hole in the wall next to train tracks in a industrial part of Maryland. And on the other hand, I've had "microwave food" in some of the most trendy restaurants in town.

Sometimes those little hole in the wall restaurants turn out the most amazing food. I'd pay more attention to inside stuff like the kitchen (if you can peek in), and how slobby the waitstaff is.

My favorite pizza place was the best ever, but the bathrooms! Oh God, you had to walk down to the dark basement and they were terrible. I had to hover.

But I'd always go back there when I was in town because the pizza was incredible!

WE should care about what a restaurant looks like. Because, we pay for the food and we should be able to eat in a clean restaurant. If the restaurant isn't clean and then you should wonder what the food was like and if they use clean dishes etc. A clean restaurant reflects on the environment and the food.

I honestly think the atmosphere in a restaurant has a LOT to do with making your dining experience a good one. My neighborhood pizza shop that I used to go to with my friends was taken over my a new owner. For some reason he decided to paint the entire place , including the seats, a vomity pepto pink color. Needless to say the place is totally empty now and I haven't been back since.

wel, its a puzzling one, sparkling lavatories - with lavatory roll - are a might want to, in spite of the indisputable fact that i latterly had a Christmas lunch at a inn - holiday, and the inn became very olde english mansion interior - quite a lot, the inn presented extras for his or her travellers, inclusive of a tumbler of champagne or a sherry on arrival, using the inn video games room, plus different amenieteis (not inlcuding the inn rooms -except you needed to pay more effective for those) in spite of the indisputable fact that the meal became ultimate economic fee - in spite of the indisputable fact that the forks were filthy (and that i recommend their became washed lined on nutrients from the ultimate diners!) - Oh and bent, the important direction lacking in style, in case you requested water - they' didnt' have a small jug of water - in basic terms ieeny tiny 'tumblers' (remembering the fee became inclusive and paid for)you plus my dinner client - stumbled on a hair of their Christmas pudding!!!!!!!!!!!! So the putting became pleasing and correct on the seafront, the inn (not A NAFF B&B!) became lovelly to seem at - i became even pondering having a function there int he destiny - up till the meal. often times you are able to get a lovelly meal from a 'cafe' and or not that is decrease than ambient, in spite of the indisputable fact that thisplace had the putting - yet I later heard from yet another client - that that that they had in basic terms lately re-opened through a nutrients poisoning scare!!!!!!!!!! - after the meal, the commute brokers not in any respect suggested something - obviously. the staff although they served the meal right away were obviously overworked. The meal had 4 classes, the position became lovelly to be in, I wouldnt in spite of the indisputable fact that recommend eating something from there back till they get a clean chef and wash up properley.

I've been to some real dives, and the food is awsome. Then I've been to some of the fanciest places around, and you couldn't chew the food nasty. So you choose, ambiance' or food. Isn't that why your going there in the first place, to eat ?

SOMETIMES YOU CAN FIND A PERL IN A LITTLE HOLE IN THE WALL. SOME OF THE BEST FOOD I HAVE HAD WAS IN A LITTLE PLACE. WITCH IS NOT PLEASING TO LOOK AT. BUT HOWEVER IF IT LOOKS DIRTY AND THEY HAVE NOT ALLOT OF BUSINESS. AND HAVE TOO MANY FLY'S AND BUGS I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND EATING THERE NO MATTER HOW GOOD THE FOOD IS. DUE TO SANITARY ISSUES.

Both because if the restaurant is dirty I could only imagine what is in your food.
